Some Thoughts on AI
It's been 3 years since OpenAI released ChatGPT to the public.
Since then, the AI revolution has exploded across the internet. AI is now integrated into almost every major and new website.
The world has been disrupted on a large scale.
I've been using AI at work, mostly as my personal assistant. While it has helped me get my work done faster, I can't help but wonder about its impact on our lives five years from now.
Some thoughts:
Some jobs and professions could become obsolete or shrink rapidly, especially knowledge-based work. Humans who know how to work with AI will replace those who don’t.
There will come a time when you can't distinguish real human work from AI-generated content. Driven by profit, people will use AI to create and publish content at scale. As a result, we will lose the human touch in art.
Some people may feel more comfortable interacting with AI than with other humans. This is a sad reality. I believe the movie "Her" is slowly becoming real.
I think it's inevitable, we need to learn how to navigate life with AI, or we risk being left behind.
AI itself is neutral, but the people behind it are not. Those who operate AI will compete with one another.
I understand both the positives and negatives, but right now, I see a lot of negativity surrounding it.
