The Slow Morning Is the Best
I woke up early, like usual, before anybody else.
The house was quiet. There was no surrounding noise yet,
just the sounds of birds outside.
I made a cup of black coffee,
and prepared two half-boiled eggs,
and a glass of water with a pinch of salt.
This has been my quick breakfast almost every day.
I sat down at the kitchen balcony, overlooking outside.
I wrote in my journal while having breakfast,
then continued reading a book for 10 minutes.
I love this moment.
This start of the day.
Before I begin to face the chaotic world, the traffic jam, and the busy work.
It is a simple routine.
It helps me feel ready for the day.
